SCAD Serve - Girl Scout First Headquarters: Courtyard Redesign
For this project, I served as a Team Leader through SCAD SERVE, SCAD’s community engagement initiative, collaborating with the Girl Scouts on the renovation of their First Headquarters, a historic site in Savannah, Georgia. I took primary responsibility for the courtyard’s design and development, creating a welcoming outdoor environment that complemented the historic museum and supported gathering, exploration, and engagement. This project gave me the opportunity to apply my production design and environmental design skills to a real-world community project while gaining experience in leadership, collaboration, and designing with an actual client in mind.
While this was a collaborative SCAD SERVE project, I was responsible for the courtyard design and 3D development. I independently developed the courtyard’s layout, design elements, and overall visual direction, as well as creating the 3D model used to visualize the space. Final rendered images were produced by a project teammate using my model and design.
